THE HEALTHY LIFE | BECOMING “THAT PERSON” AT THE PARTY WITHOUT BEER AND BBQ GOODIES — THAT’S NOT REQUIRED. ENJOY THE PARTY | FOLLOW OUR AT-HOME WORKOUTS & NUTRITION GUIDE WITHOUT THE POST-HOLIDAY BLUES!

NUTRITION TIPS:

Be consistent.
The healthy and fit life is a long-term commitment, just like your retirement! Remember consistency is KING and time is QUEEN. There’s no need to be perfect, especially on a holiday weekend. Just don’t lose all your focus on your goals!

Start the day healthy.
Hold off on those “cheesy hash-browns” and Mimosas. We’re athletes and we really need our fruits AND veggies. Start the day off by a eating healthy meal – you’re more likely to develop it as a habit and continue eating healthy.

Speaking of that, Drink lots of water!
That means between beers, soda, or whatever other high-cal “junk” you’re drinking, force yourself to sneak in a glass/bottle of good ol’ WATER. You’ll feel better in the morning, it helps to flush out that “junk” in your system and will make you feel FULL which prevents excessive snacking. HYDRATE!

Drink lower-calorie beverages.
Save calories when you can! Drink lighter beer over the dark beer and try some of the new flavored drink options such as Truly and White Claw. They’re pretty good.  Choose mixed drinks with carbonated water and use flavoring such as Crystal Light flavor packs or Mio!

Eat your veggies.
Low-carb and calories from a much needed source. Make them your go-to snack and/or sides and save yourself the extra calories.

Don’t go to the party hungry.
Let’s be real. If you have a full stomach, you’re much less likely to binge on all the unhealthy snacks at the party.

Be that person – somewhat.
Yeah, your friends might give you a hard time, but they don’t share your same goals! But, that’s what separates you from the rest.

Pick your snacks wisely.
Don’t eat it just because it’s there, pick your healthy favorite(s)!

Choose lean meats.
If you like meat, you’ll be eating a lot of it. Save on your fat content by choosing lean meats such as chicken and pork!
